OPW announces new opening hours for Emo Court Park, Co. Laois.

The Office of Public Works today (6 April 2016) has announced new opening hours for Emo Court Park effective from Monday 11 April 2016.
Emo Court is a neo-classical house designed in 1790 by famous Architect James Gandon. The house is surrounded by extensive parkland first laid out in the 18th Century containing formal lawns, classical statutory, woodland walks and a lake.
The property is managed by OPW and is a major historic property of national significance attracting a large number of visitors to experience its heritage and amenity attractions.
The lake walk and the permanent Father Browne exhibition at Emo are amongst other recent improvements made by OPW that have made a significant contribution to increase visitor numbers.
Due to restructuring arrangements and associated upgrading of site security Emo Court Park will now become a monitored site out of hours resulting in a change to public access from Monday 11th April 2016.
Please note Emo Court Park opening hours below, access outside of these hours will not be permitted:
January, February & November, December 8:30 am - 4:30pm
March & October 8:30am- 5:00pm
April & September 8:30 am – 7:00pm
May, June, July & August 8:30- 8:30pm
