Public Competition for Permits to provide passenger access to Skellig Michael

The Commissioners of Public Works in Ireland wish to invite applications from Boatmen to participate in a Public Competition for Permits to land passengers on Skellig Michael, Co. Kerry.   The closing time & date of this Competition is:

5pm on Monday 21st January, 2019.

A panel of suitably qualified and experienced Boatmen will be formed from successful applicants in this Permit Competition and may, having regard to the overall limit of 15 Permitted Operators at any one time, be awarded the right to land passengers for a period of up to 3 years beginning in the 2019 Visitor season, which will commence in approx. mid-May 2019.

Individuals – or a partnership, where a vessel is jointly owned – who wish to be considered for inclusion in the Competition for a place on the panel can obtain full details - Public Competition for Permits to carry passengers to Skellig Michael - where they can download the necessary application document that sets out the necessary information required.

In the event that applicants have a query in relation to the Competition or are unclear regarding any aspect of the Competition document, they should address their query in writing to the OPW Heritage Service before 5pm on Monday 7th January, 2019 as follows:
