Crossmolina Flood Relief Scheme
A Public Information Day for the Crossmolina Flood Relief Scheme was held on Friday 8th of April 2016, which showed the options currently being assessed, and comments received throughout the day showed that those who attended were generally in favour of the diversion channel option. The necessary site investigations for this option are coming to a close and the public exhibition of the preferred feasible option is expected to take place in late 2017/early 2018.
A consultant was also engaged to carry out surveys regarding the feasibility of Individual Property Protection (IPP) measures. The results of these surveys have been passed to Mayo County Council enabling them to engage a contractor to install the measures as appropriate. The installation of these IPP measures is currently ongoing.
More information and documentation will become available on this page as the scheme progresses.
