The Government Publications Office provides a sales outlet to the public for all Government publications. Orders are accepted by telephone, email and post. The Office also publishes Iris Oifigiúil, the State's official gazette, which is published twice weekly on Tuesday and Friday in hard copy and on the Internet.
Our Sales Office (Bookshop) in Molesworth Street closed on Friday November 23, 2012. However, the OPW continues to provide a Postal Trade Service for all customers including those who previously used the Publications shop. The Call Centre is open Monday to Friday 09.30 to 13.00 and 14.00 to 17.00 to assist callers and accept order payments by card, cheque or postal order. Government Publications does not supply:
- Government publications that are free
- Government publications only available as Internet downloads
- The hard copy primary school curriculum (English language set) - now only available on CD or on www.ncca.ie
- Most Law pre-dating the Foundation of the State – www.tso.co.uk
- Agency publications for example National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI)
