The National Botanic Gardens Library

The National Botanic Gardens Library is a unique collection of botanical and horticultural works.  There are remarkable rare books including many with hand coloured illustrations, and the Library currently receives publications on exchange from botanical institutions worldwide as well as acquiring the material necessary to maintain an up-to- date library service.  It meets the information needs of the staff of the Gardens and the staff and students of the Teagasc College of Amenity Horticulture based there.

Members of the public may visit the library by appointment for research purposes.

Please contact Alexandra Caccamo at the Library, National Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin, Dublin 9.

Tel: 01 804 0330 or 01 804 0332.
