Chairman's Office


The Chairman has the support of two staff members who provide all the administrative support to the Chairman.

Other areas of responsibility include:

  • Liase with staff to provide information for Chairman and Board Members on the day to day matters of the Office;
  • Liase with Minister's Office and Press Office;
  • Co-ordinate responses to Parliamentary Questions with Minister's Office;
  • Co-ordinate material for Management Advisory Committee and Board Meetings;
  • Co-ordination of Government Memoranda;
  • Management of meeting rooms and OPW internal transport;
  • Oversee the publication of a book on the "History of OPW".

The Chairman's Private Secretary is also the secretary to the following Committees:

  • Accommodation Committee;
  • Internal Audit Committee;
  • Barretstown Trustees;
  • Department of Finance & Personnel (NI) and OPW Liaison Committee;
  • OPW Sports Committee.
