The Government also appointed the OPW as lead agency for flood risk management in Ireland, and our responsibilities now include:

Coordination of national flood risk management activities;
Development and implementation of new work programmes to implement the new policy;
Ongoing delivery of flood relief projects and maintenance of existing schemes.
